A large fire occurred in a high-rise building in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital, resulting in the evacuation of 12 people, including two children.

Details of the incident on Maksymovych Street
Thursday morning, October 2, began with an emergency for the residents of the building on Maksymovych Street in Kyiv. Around 06:40, a report was received about a fire in an apartment on the ninth floor of a twelve-story residential complex.
Emergency Service units promptly arrived at the scene. Firefighters immediately began evacuating residents and extinguishing the flames.


Rescue operations and the aftermath of the fire
During the rescue operation, State Emergency Service specialists brought 12 individuals to safety, including two children. According to the rescuers, the area of the fire was 90 square meters. By 07:02, the fire was localized, and full extinguishment occurred at 07:52.
“During the firefighting, 12 people were rescued, including 2 children. The fire was localized at 07:02 over an area of 90 sq. m, and extinguished at 07:52. The cause of the fire will be determined by law enforcement agencies,” the State Emergency Service reported.
Currently, law enforcement is investigating the cause of the fire. Investigative actions and expert work are ongoing at the scene.
