On March 21, a new round of negotiations took place in Florida between delegations from the United States and Ukraine, focused on achieving a comprehensive peace agreement. This was reported by the U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff, who noted that the meetings were conducted in a constructive manner and aimed at reducing differences and addressing key unresolved issues.

Composition of the Delegations and Priorities of the Talks
The American delegation included Jared Kushner, Senior Advisor to the White House, Josh Grunbaum, and State Department Advisor Chris Carran. The Ukrainian side was represented by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, Head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia, Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Budanov, and First Deputy Head of the President’s Office Serhiy Kyslytsia.
Steve Witkoff emphasized the importance of continued interaction between the parties on conflict resolution issues, highlighting its significance for global stability. He also expressed gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for his leadership in promoting peace initiatives.
Ukrainian Position and Further Dialogue
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov thanked the partners for their systematic work and announced that the negotiation process would continue on Sunday, March 22. He stressed the involvement of the United States in resolving the conflict, noting their consistency in supporting the peace process.
“We thank the United States for their involvement and consistent efforts to advance the process,” emphasized the head of the NSDC.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the Ukrainian delegation met with American representatives on March 21, calling it important for the global community. The head of state emphasized that the diplomatic process is ongoing, and the parties are diligently working to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Zelensky stressed that the key issue at the moment is the readiness of the Russian side for a real and dignified end to the war. Since the beginning of the year, several rounds of trilateral consultations involving Ukraine, the USA, and Russia regarding the cessation of hostilities have already taken place. At the same time, specific results from these rounds remain undisclosed, except for the agreement reached on February 5 regarding the exchange of prisoners of war – the first in the last five months.
A meeting scheduled for early March in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi was postponed due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East.
