Tkachенко Removed Povoroznik from Deputy Position Due to Violations

Очільник КМВА Ткаченко звільнив свого заступника. Поворозник заявив, що звинувачення «доведеться підтвердити у суді»

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA), Timur Tkachенко, announced the removal of Mykola Povoroznik from the position of First Deputy. This decision, made on April 10, was a result of numerous violations by Povoroznik, including the disregard of directives from the leadership.

Violations and Delays in Work

Tkachенко pointed out that Povoroznik failed to provide a report on the issuance of passes during the curfew. Among other issues, he also noted that draft directives are being delayed, which harms businesses.

“Draft directives are hanging. We have honest businesses, and many enterprises cannot obtain critical status because documents in the KMDA are stuck for a month or more instead of the usual 10 days,”

Tkachенко emphasized.

He also mentioned numerous violations in the budgetary sphere, citing over 100 reports of procurement issues just for 2024. According to Tkachенко, this has led to the loss of significant funds, including

“almost 60 million UAH stolen for services for the seriously ill”

.

Povoroznik’s Reaction

Mykola Povoroznik, commenting on his removal, emphasized that he will continue to fulfill his duties at the Kyiv City State Administration. He sarcastically thanked Tkachенко for the birthday wishes and noted the new status of his colleague.

“As for any ‘stolen millions,’ Mr. Tkachенко will have to prove that in court,”

Povoroznik added.

The KMVA performs part of the functions of the KMDA in wartime, leading to conflicts of interest between these bodies. This, in turn, causes public accusations and discrepancies in the distribution of powers.
