Трамп заявив, що він розчарований Україною та Росією, а мирну угоду вже можна було б укласти

Trump on Losses and Life Under Bombardment

“I am disappointed in Russia. But I am also disappointed in Ukraine. Because I think a deal could have been made. And we are losing five or six thousand people a week. Mostly soldiers. But also people living in cities, because they are being hit by missiles again – how would you live in a building, knowing that a missile has a good chance of hitting the building in the evening? It must be terrible to live like that,” he said during a conversation with reporters.

Trump emphasized the difficult humanitarian situation arising from the constant bombardment of civilian targets and pointed out the significant human losses among both military personnel and civilians. He stressed that living under the threat of missile strikes is extremely challenging for citizens.

Negotiations and Further Statements from Trump

In his comments, Trump reiterated his dissatisfaction with the lack of progress in peace negotiations. He also cited positive examples of his diplomatic efforts regarding India, Pakistan, and Israel, highlighting his own experience in reaching agreements between countries.

On May 28, Donald Trump noted that he plans to receive an answer within two weeks on whether Russian President Vladimir Putin is truly ready to end the war in Ukraine. Subsequently, on June 2, a meeting took place in Istanbul between representatives of Ukraine and Russia for negotiations. The Ukrainian delegation proposed a ceasefire and suggested holding high-level talks, including involving Trump. Meanwhile, the Russian side rejected this proposal.
