Kyiv’s Chief Fish Inspector Suspected of Concealing Wife’s Assets Worth 3.5 Million UAH

The Chief State Inspector of the State Agency for Melioration and Fisheries in Kyiv and the Kyiv region is under investigation for declaring false information.

Suspicion of Inaccurate Declaration

A 33-year-old official has been served with a notice of suspicion for intentionally failing to include in the 2024 declaration information about assets acquired by his wife over the past year. The value of the undeclared movable and immovable property exceeds 3.5 million hryvnias.

What Property Was Not Declared

According to the investigation, the official did not declare an apartment with an area of 98 square meters, a garage, and a car that were purchased by his wife. Currently, the pre-trial investigation into this case is being conducted by investigators from the Territorial Office of the State Bureau of Investigations in Kyiv.

“The official has been served with a notice of suspicion for declaring inaccurate information. As reported by the Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office, the 33-year-old official deliberately did not indicate the movable and immovable property acquired by his wife last year, valued at over 3.5 million hryvnias, when submitting the 2024 declaration.”

The established facts may indicate a violation of anti-corruption legislation, which provides for criminal liability.
