The detainees face up to eight years in prison

In the Svyatoshyn district of Kyiv, law enforcement officers arrested two men who committed an apartment burglary in a multi-story building. According to the investigation, the criminals broke into the home of a local resident during her absence by forcing the door lock.
How the Criminals Operated
It has been established that the crime involved two Kyiv residents aged 30 and 42, one of whom already had a criminal record for property crimes. The criminals damaged the locks on the entrance doors and entered the apartment, from which they stole valuables.
“It was established that the accomplices damaged the locks on the entrance doors and entered the apartment, from which they stole silver and gold jewelry, money, and other valuables totaling over 250,000 hryvnias,” the police reported.

Punishment and Further Actions by the Police
Law enforcement officers quickly identified the burglars, arrested them, and announced charges under Part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – theft committed on a large scale. The penalty for this article provides for up to eight years in prison.

During the investigation, both suspects will remain in custody.
