This meeting is a continuation of the regional format initiated in Kyiv in January 2025. The main goal of the initiative is to develop cooperation and unite efforts to support Ukraine and ensure European security. The previous summit of the “Ukraine – Southeast Europe” format took place in Odesa in June 2025, gathering regional partners to consolidate political and practical support for Ukraine.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania, Ferit Hoxha, previously emphasized that during a recent NATO ministers’ meeting in Helsingborg, Sweden, he expressed strong support for Ukraine, which he called “the cornerstone of European security.” He also confirmed that the upcoming meeting in Tirana will be co-chaired by Albania and Ukraine.

The event in Tirana is expected to be another step towards strengthening political solidarity in the region and will also contribute to the recovery and resilience of Ukraine amid ongoing challenges.
