Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal announced preparations for the signing of a bilateral agreement between Ukraine and the United States of America regarding the production and supply of unmanned aerial vehicles. The negotiations took place during a meeting with Keith Kellogg, the U.S. President’s Special Representative for Ukraine.

Details of the Meeting Between Ukrainian and American Parties
During the negotiations, the Ukrainian side provided their American counterparts with the necessary documentation package for processing the future agreement. Denys Shmyhal emphasized the importance of increasing the production volumes of ammunition and drones, which is to become a key element in strengthening the country’s defense capabilities. The minister noted that expanding joint projects in this area would contribute to more effective provision of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with modern weaponry.
“I informed the delegation about our defense priorities. The key is to ramp up the production of ammunition and drones to halt the enemy’s advance. Joint projects in this area allow us to more effectively supply Ukrainian soldiers with weapons,” the minister wrote in a Telegram message.
Assessment of the Situation at the Front and Security Guarantees
During the meeting, Lieutenant General Andriy Hnatov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, provided the American delegation with a detailed analysis of the current situation at the front and the plans of Russian occupation forces.
Particular attention was paid to discussing mechanisms for creating effective security guarantees for Ukraine, aimed at preventing new manifestations of aggression in the future.
Keith Kellogg is in Ukraine on a working visit, during which he participated in events marking Independence Day and held a series of meetings with representatives of the Ukrainian government. Earlier, on July 18, President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed Denys Shmyhal to finalize all necessary contracts for providing the Defense Forces of Ukraine with modern drones as soon as possible.
