Merz: The War Must End, But Not at Any Cost
Friedrich Merz stressed that ending the war is necessary, but one should not agree to peace at any conditions. According to him, Ukraine’s capitulation will not resolve the conflict but will only allow Russia to buy time to prepare for future aggression.
“We do not want Ukraine’s capitulation. Such a capitulation only buys time for Russia, and Putin will use this time to prepare for the next war.”
Support for Moldova on Its European Path
During the celebration of Moldova’s Independence Day in Chișinău on August 27, the leaders of France, Germany, and Poland reaffirmed their support for the European course of the Republic of Moldova and guarantees of its security.
