Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Kabanov, a member of the ‘Servant of the People’ faction, has passed away at the age of 52. This was reported by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

“The leadership of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, fellow MPs, and the leadership and staff of the Parliament’s Apparatus express their condolences on the death of Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Kabanov. He passed away at the age of 53.”

Kabanov’s Parliamentary Activity

Oleksandr Kabanov was an active member of the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy. The Verkhovna Rada noted his significant contribution to supporting the development of Ukrainian content, as well as creating favorable conditions for the work of cultural and creative professionals in the country. Throughout his term, he consistently advocated for increasing the production of national cultural products.

Cause of Death and Political Career

According to Yulia Paliychuk, spokesperson for the ‘Servant of the People’ faction, Oleksandr Kabanov died after a prolonged serious illness. The MP was elected to the Verkhovna Rada in 2019 from the multi-mandate national electoral district, securing the 87th position on the party list.

The death of MP Kabanov has come as a shock and a painful loss for his colleagues and the entire political community. Sincere condolences are expressed to his family and loved ones.
