Alexander Borynyakov Appointed Acting Minister of Digital Transformation

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Alexander Borynyakov as the acting Minister of Digital Transformation. Borynyakov, who previously held the position of Deputy Minister for European Integration, will now lead the ministry until a new head is appointed.

New Responsibilities and Changes in the Ministry’s Structure

The government has also approved changes to the regulations governing the Ministry of Digital Transformation. According to the updated document, the ministry will now be responsible for the implementation and functioning of internal control, as well as conducting internal audits not only within the Ministry itself but also in subordinate enterprises, institutions, and organizations.

“Temporarily assign the duties of the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine to the Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine for European Integration, Alexander Borynyakov,” states the decision on the government’s website.

Leadership Changes Following Fedorov’s Transition

The rotation in the leadership of the Ministry of Digital Transformation occurred after the Verkhovna Rada appointed the former Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, as Minister of Defense. Currently, Alexander Borynyakov is refraining from public comments regarding his new appointment.
