According to the municipal enterprise, over 2,000 individuals contacted the “Kyivpastrans” contact center regarding items left behind in the vehicles during 2025. The total number of reports of lost property amounted to 2025 cases.
“Symbolically, during 2025, passengers contacted the Kyivpastrans contact center about lost items exactly 2025 times,” the statement reads.
Among the most unexpected items found by public transport workers were flippers, a cactus, a lawnmower, and even a dog. Additionally, passengers frequently left behind wedding rings, Nordic walking poles, mops, as well as packages of fresh cabbage.
Most Common Losses on Public Transport in the Capital
Employees of “Kyivpastrans” note that the most commonly lost items on city buses, trolleys, and trams were sportswear, keys, documents, electronics, and other personal belongings. Such incidents occur regularly, and passengers are urged to be attentive while traveling on public transport.
