Hydrangeas Have Covered the Parks and Squares of Kyiv
In August, residents and visitors of the capital have the opportunity to enjoy the lush blooming of hydrangeas in numerous green spaces across Kyiv. These ornamental shrubs have transformed urban squares and parks into true oases that not only please the eye but also improve the ecology of the metropolis.
“The blooming of hydrangeas has spread across all districts of the capital—from the quiet squares of Podil to the spacious parks of Darnytsia. These plants not only create a picturesque urban landscape but also play an important role in the city’s micro-ecology: they reduce dust levels, regulate air humidity, and support pollinator populations,” said representatives from Kyivzelenbud.
The Most Popular Spots for Admiring Hydrangeas
According to caretakers of the green spaces, the most active blooming of hydrangeas can be observed in various districts of Kyiv. In the Holosiivskyi district, one should visit the Maksym Rylskyi Park and D. Peshev Square. In the Desnianskyi district, hydrangeas delight the eye in the square at the intersection of Kuban Ukraine Street, 20, and Lesovyi Avenue, 31, as well as in the park with water features along Roman Shukhevych Avenue. In the Dniprovskyi district, it is recommended to visit the park on Rusanyvska Embankment and the Victory Park. In the Obolon district, hydrangeas bloom in the Natalka Park, while in the Solomianskyi district, they can be found in the Vidradnyi and Yunist Parks.
Thanks to the efforts of the green management workers, hydrangeas create a unique atmosphere in Kyiv every year, contributing to air purity and maintaining the natural balance in the city.
