In Kyiv, police officers detained a 38-year-old woman who, while intoxicated, set fire to the doors of a neighboring apartment in a high-rise building and also assaulted an investigator.

The perpetrator, a resident of the Desnyanskyi district, is suspected of committing two crimes: intentional destruction of someone else’s property and violence against a law enforcement officer.
Conflict with Neighbors and Consequences
According to police information, the woman had repeatedly had conflicts with her neighbors over the use of a shared vestibule. As a result of this animosity, she decided to set the neighbor’s door on fire with a lighter. Residents of the building smelled smoke and were able to extinguish the flames themselves.
It has been established that at the time of the offense, the woman was intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of 2.6 promille. During her arrest and the investigative actions, she struck the investigator, complicating the situation.
Legal Consequences
At present, the perpetrator is in custody and faces up to ten years in prison. This information was released by the Kyiv police communication department.
