Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a working visit to the United Kingdom on June 23, where he is discussing with international partners the strengthening of pressure on the Russian Federation. The main topic of the meetings is the expansion of Ukraine’s defense and the agreement on new decisive steps to halt Russian aggression.

Zelensky’s Statements on the Consequences of Russian Attacks
“Today during my visit to Britain, I will talk to partners specifically about this – about our defense, which must become the basis for a significantly stronger collective defense. We will also negotiate new and stronger measures to pressure Russia for this war and to stop the strikes,” Zelensky wrote.
The President firmly condemned yet another large-scale attack by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian territory, which damaged facilities in four regions. According to Zelensky, during the latest shelling, Russian troops used missiles and drones, resulting in casualties among civilians and the destruction of residential buildings. In particular, five multi-story buildings were damaged in Kyiv, and the death toll reached at least six people. Another person was killed as a result of a strike on a hospital in Bila Tserkva, where a Shahed-type drone hit.
Scale of the Missile Attack and North Korea’s Involvement
Zelensky reported that among the 16 Russian missiles that attacked Ukraine was a ballistic missile obtained from North Korea. According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of June 23, Russian troops carried out a massive attack using 368 airstrike means. Of these, 352 were Shahed strike drones and imitation drones, as well as 11 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 5 Iskander-K cruise missiles. The main strike was directed at Kyiv, where, according to preliminary data, six people were killed and another 25 were injured.

As a result of the nighttime attack on Kyiv and the region, significant destruction and numerous casualties among civilians were recorded.
