Zelensky Discussed Details of US Peace Proposals with JD Vance and Daniel Driscoll

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had an almost hour-long conversation with US Vice President JD Vance and US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll. During this discussion, numerous aspects of American initiatives aimed at ending the war and achieving lasting peace in Ukraine were addressed.

“We managed to discuss many details from the American side’s proposal to end the war, and we are trying to make the next steps dignified and truly effective for achieving lasting peace. I am grateful for the attention and willingness to work together with us and our partners,” Zelensky stated.

Agreements on Cooperation with the US and Europe

Zelensky noted that Ukraine has reached agreements to strengthen cooperation with the US and European partners at the advisory level. This is intended to make the path to peace not only theoretically possible but also practically effective. According to him, the teams from both sides are ready to work around the clock to respond promptly to all new challenges.

Ukraine’s Position on International Partners’ Proposals

The President emphasized that Ukraine has always respected the former US President Donald Trump’s desire to end the bloodshed and expressed a positive attitude towards every realistic initiative aimed at peaceful resolution. Zelensky stressed the importance of constant contact between the teams of Ukraine and its partners.

At the same time, at the time of publication, US Vice President JD Vance had not officially commented on the course or results of the conversation with Zelensky. It is also known that the day before, the Ukrainian leader met with US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll, where possible pathways to achieving genuine peace were discussed.
