Increasing Pressure on Russia and Coordination with Partners
Before his visit to Denmark, Volodymyr Zelensky sharply condemned yet another massive missile strike on Ukraine by the Russian Federation and called on partners to increase pressure on the aggressor. The President emphasized that a key topic of discussions with NB8 leaders will be strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and obtaining additional support from allies.
“This evening – a bilateral format in France, coordinating our efforts. We are also preparing the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ format and new steps in relations with the European Union and the USA. Thank you to everyone who helps. A real response is needed for every Russian strike,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram.
International Agenda: Paris and Key Meetings
In the afternoon of September 3, Volodymyr Zelensky will head to Paris, where meetings are scheduled for September 4 with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. According to Mikhail Podolyak, an advisor to the President’s Office, these negotiations are aimed at “synchronizing efforts” amid active discussions on security guarantees for Ukraine.
The main focus during the international meetings is on strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, coordinating actions among European and transatlantic partners, and developing new mechanisms for support in the fight against Russian aggression.
