Zelensky Dismisses Andriy Yermak from the Position of Head of the President’s Office

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has signed a decree dismissing Andriy Yermak from the position of Head of the President’s Office. This decision followed Yermak’s personal resignation statement, which he submitted the day before.

Reboot of the President’s Office and New Appointments

In his address to the citizens, the head of state emphasized the need to reboot the work of the President’s Office. Zelensky also announced that he plans to hold consultations regarding the candidacy for the future head of this institution as early as tomorrow.

“I am grateful to Andriy for always representing the Ukrainian position in the negotiation track exactly as it should be. It has always been a patriotic stance. But I want to avoid rumors and speculations,” the president said.

Next Steps and Ukraine’s Participation in International Negotiations

The president clarified that in the upcoming negotiations with the American side, Ukraine will be represented by the Chief of the General Staff, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, intelligence, and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

Andriy Yermak has headed the President’s Office since February 11, 2020. From October 2019 to June 2020, he was a member of the supervisory board of the State Concern “Ukroboronprom.” From May 2019 to February 11, 2020, he served as an assistant to the President of Ukraine. Before entering public service, Yermak spent many years engaged in legal practice and public activities.
