Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Austria on June 16 for an official visit. This is the first trip by the head of state to this country since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Zelensky’s visit has drawn criticism from the far-right Freedom Party, known for its pro-Russian rhetoric. Representatives of this political force stated that the arrival of the Ukrainian president contradicts Austria’s neutrality.
