President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is on an official visit to the capital of Spain, Madrid, on March 18. During this visit, important defense agreements between Ukraine and Spain are set to be signed.

Visit to Spanish Enterprises and Signing of Agreements
As reported by presidential spokesperson Serhiy Nykyforov, Zelensky visited the defense company Sener Aerospace & Defence, where he familiarized himself with samples of military equipment and the production process. It is here, in the presence of the head of state, that the Ukrainian-Spanish defense agreements are expected to be signed.
“The president has just arrived at the defense company Sener Aerospace & Defence. He will review samples of equipment and the production process. The Ukrainian-Spanish defense agreements will be signed in the presence of the president,” Nykyforov informed journalists.
Meetings with Spanish Officials and Future Plans
As part of the visit program, a meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez is scheduled, during which bilateral documents will be signed with the participation of both leaders. The President of Ukraine will also visit the Spanish Parliament, where he will hold talks with the Speaker of the Congress of Deputies, Francina Armengol, and the President of the Senate, Pedro Rollán. In the evening, Zelensky will meet with King Felipe VI of Spain.
On the eve of this visit, Volodymyr Zelensky traveled to London, where he had an audience with King Charles III, spoke in the British Parliament, and signed the Ukrainian-British Declaration on Deepening Cooperation in the Field of Security and Defense Industry together with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
According to media reports, after completing his visit to Madrid, the President of Ukraine plans to visit Brussels, where he will participate in a European Council meeting scheduled for March 19 and 20.
