Agreement on Meeting Details

Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that he plans to meet with Donald Trump on the sidelines of the Alliance summit, but noted that final arrangements have not yet been reached, and the teams of both presidents are working on organizational matters. In response to a clarifying question about the timing of the meeting, Zelensky emphasized that relevant negotiations are ongoing.

“Yes, I plan to. I don’t know how it will be, to be honest. The teams are working, yes, but we intend to meet.”

According to information from the President’s Office, the process of finalizing the details of the conversation is in its final stages. The talks may take place in the “early afternoon” in the Netherlands. It is expected that key topics of discussion will include sanctions against Russia and issues related to arms procurement for Kyiv’s needs.

Summit Agenda and Zelensky’s Participation

The White House has not yet officially confirmed the holding of this meeting. The NATO summit is scheduled for June 24-25 in The Hague. According to preliminary information, Volodymyr Zelensky will participate in a working dinner for leaders on June 24, which is also expected to be attended by Donald Trump. Additionally, Zelensky is set to speak at the Defense Industries Forum, which will take place as part of the summit events.

It is worth noting that earlier this month, a meeting between Zelensky and Trump was planned during the G7 summit in Canada, but it did not take place due to the early departure of the U.S. president.
