Uncompleted Works and New Violations
According to the signed contract, the contractor was supposed to complete the renovation of the square in Chekhov Lane by the end of December 2024. However, in January 2025, law enforcement officials, along with auditors and representatives of “Kyivzelenbud,” conducted an inspection, during which it was found that the work had not been completed. During the inspection, representatives of the contracting organization began planting flowers, indicating ineffective use of budget funds.
The losses recorded as a result of the audit amount to approximately 2.4 million hryvnias. The Pechersk District Prosecutor’s Office has already prepared an indictment against the deputy head of the capital investments department of “Kyivzelenbud,” accused of official forgery and embezzlement of budget funds in large amounts.
Issues with the Capital Repair of the Park
Additionally, specialists from the State Audit Office have submitted the results of the procurement audit related to the capital repair of the “Festival” park in the Desnyansky district to law enforcement agencies. Violations were also recorded there, resulting in losses of nearly 1.6 million hryvnias. The works, according to the relevant acts of “Kyivzelenbud,” were supposed to be completed in December 2024.
