Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov has confirmed his participation in the “Ukraine – Southeast Europe” summit, which will focus on security and cooperation issues. The invitation to Zhelyazkov was extended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a phone conversation that took place on May 30.

Security and Post-War Recovery at the Center of the Summit
It is noted that key topics of discussion during the summit will include the security situation in the region, particularly in the Black Sea area, Ukraine’s recovery after the war, and the expansion of cooperation in various fields. A high level of representation is expected, as leaders from several Southeast European countries have already confirmed their participation in the forum.
“The President informed about the countries that have already confirmed their participation: there will be a high level of representation. The head of state also mentioned that security issues, including those in the Black Sea, Ukraine’s recovery after the war, and the development of cooperation in various fields, will be discussed during the summit.”
Participants and History of the Summit
Previously, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Croatia, as well as the leaders of Greece, North Macedonia, and Moldova, have confirmed their participation in the summit. Last year, a similar summit took place in October in Croatia.
