Two Categories of Competition and Special Awards
The competition will be held in two categories: Category A – an open blitz tournament, and Category B – for boys and girls aged up to 14 years. The organizers have also provided separate awards for veterans and military personnel, emphasizing the importance of supporting various groups of participants.
“The most interesting thing is that the prize fund amounts to 100,000 hryvnias. Separate awards are planned for veterans and military personnel.”
Participation Conditions and Key Participants
To participate in the tournament, a charitable contribution of 500 hryvnias is required. However, participation is free for players under 14 years old, veterans, combatants, and grandmasters. The competition will be judged by international arbiter Oleg Tovchyha, ensuring a professional level of organization.
Among the registered participants, special attention is drawn to international grandmaster, the top-ranked player in Ukraine, and military personnel Ihor Kovalenko, which adds even more weight to the tournament.
As part of this event, an open discussion on the prospects for the development of chess in Ukraine will take place, aimed at bringing together leading experts and those interested in promoting this intellectual game.
The tournament will begin at 11:00 AM at the campus of the Kyiv School of Economics, located at: Obolonska Embankment, 20 (former Golf Center).
The event is organized by the Kyiv School of Economics and the Kyiv Chess Federation with the support of the Obolon District State Administration.
