Confirmation from the Head of NABU
The head of NABU, Semen Kryvonos, confirmed the search on August 1, noting that the procedure took place in cooperation with German colleagues. According to him, the case is actively progressing, but the details of the investigation and its prospects remain undisclosed in accordance with the law.
“Since this information is already public, and especially since the German side has reported it, I can confirm that the relevant investigative actions took place. I cannot comment further… due to the law, I cannot disclose either the prospects of this criminal proceeding or its essence,” said Kryvonos.
Details of the Search and Subsequent Events
As reported by the German publication Spiegel, the search was conducted in the town of Starnberg in Bavaria, where Rostyslav Shurma’s house is located. The actions of the German investigators occurred specifically at the request of NABU, indicating close international cooperation in this matter.
It is worth noting that on September 3, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree to dismiss Rostyslav Shurma from the position of Deputy Head of the President’s Office. The official reason for the dismissal was not specified in the relevant documents.
