Accusations Against Voznyi
According to employees of the Kyiv Ecological and Cultural Center (KECC), Voznyi is criticized for incompetence, negligence, lobbying for the interests of developers, manipulating facts, and blocking the processes of creating new natural reserve areas. Ecologists claim that over the past three years, the department has not submitted a single natural object for reservation, which negatively affects the ecological state of the city.
Threats to Natural Reserve Areas and Deteriorating Ecology
According to the Kyiv Ecological and Cultural Center, over the past four years, the number of cases of destruction or attempts to destroy reserve areas in the capital has sharply increased. Furthermore, the situation with air pollution in Kyiv worsens year by year, and the city ranks first annually for air pollution levels among major cities worldwide.
“Ecologists demand that the city leadership respond to the situation and take appropriate measures to improve the ecological situation in the capital”
