An Exhibition of the Archive on the Unfulfilled Memorial ‘Babyn Yar’ Opens in Kyiv

Tomorrow, the exhibition center ‘Living Memory’, located on the grounds of the National Historical-Memorial Reserve ‘Babyn Yar’ in Kyiv, will host the opening of a documentary exhibition titled ‘When the World Falls Apart’.

Unique Archives and the Memorial Model to Be Shown for the First Time

The exhibition is dedicated to the unfulfilled memorial for the tragedy of Babyn Yar, which was developed by the creative team of Ada Ryabchuk and Volodymyr Melnychenko (ARVM) for the architectural competition of 1965. For the first time, unique archival documents, sketches, and a restored model of this memorial, preserved in the collection of the ARVM Cultural Heritage Preservation Fund, will be presented to the public.

Duration of the Exhibition and Venue

The documentary exhibition ‘When the World Falls Apart’ will run until July 31, 2025. It can be visited at: 46-a Yuriy Illienko Street, in the ‘Living Memory’ exhibition center on the grounds of the National Historical-Memorial Reserve ‘Babyn Yar’.
