An Exhibition on Ukrainian Patrons and Their Contributions Opens at St. Sophia Cathedral

A large-scale exhibition dedicated to outstanding Ukrainian patrons who made significant contributions to the development of education, science, culture, and art throughout various historical eras has opened in the “Khlibnia” gallery located within the National Preserve “St. Sophia of Kyiv”.

Rarities and Unique Exhibits at the Exhibition

Visitors have the opportunity to explore over fifty exhibits. Among them are the unique original of the “Ostroh Bible”, the prayer book of Petro Mohyla, as well as works from the collections of the renowned patron families of Tereshchenko and Khanenko. The exhibition features paintings and graphic works, rare old prints, collectible coins, stamps, sculptures, and archival photographs.

Interactive Zones for Visitors

In addition to traditional museum exhibits, interactive zones have been set up in the exhibition halls, allowing visitors to learn more about the history of patronage in Ukraine and discover more about the charitable activities of prominent Ukrainians.

“In five exhibition halls of the ‘Khlibnia’ gallery at the National Preserve ‘St. Sophia of Kyiv’, an exhibition dedicated to Ukrainian patrons who supported education, science, culture, and art during various historical periods has been launched.”

The exhibition will run until February 15, 2026, so everyone interested can visit this unique display and familiarize themselves with the cultural heritage of Ukrainian patrons.
