On the night of June 29, a serious accident involving a Volkswagen passenger car and a MAN truck took place on the Ring Road in the capital. The accident resulted in tragic consequences – the driver of the car died at the scene.
Details of the Accident and Rescuers’ Actions
The incident happened around 03:19. The Emergency Service “101” received a report of the collision. Rescuers promptly arrived at the scene and used cutting and hydraulic tools to free the body of the deceased driver from the mangled vehicle. Additionally, the emergency crew cleared the roadway of spilled fuel to prevent possible further incidents.
Investigation of the Causes of the Accident
Law enforcement officers were working at the scene to determine all circumstances and causes of the fatal crash. An investigation is currently underway to establish what exactly caused the collision of the vehicles.
