Firefighters Extinguish Large Fire in Hangar in Kyiv for Two Hours

In the Pechersk district of Ukraine’s capital, efforts were underway for two hours to extinguish a large fire that broke out in a hangar. Firefighters deployed over two dozen units of specialized equipment and several dozen rescuers to effectively combat the flames, which covered an area of 600 square meters.

According to the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv, the report of the fire was received on April 8 at 18:59. The fire ignited in a single-story metal storage hangar. The fire was extinguished by 20:53, covering the specified area of 600 sq. m.

“On April 8 at 18:59, a report was received about a fire in the Pechersk district of the city. The fire occurred in a single-story metal storage hangar. The fire was extinguished at 20:53 over a total area of 600 sq m,” the statement said.

At the scene, 77 rescuers and 21 units of firefighting equipment were working. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries as a result of the incident. Currently, law enforcement agencies are investigating the causes and circumstances of the fire’s outbreak.
