Visitors to the lakes in the capital are warned about the special status of the water bodies

In Kyiv, new informational signs have appeared along the shores of five water bodies. They inform citizens that these lakes are part of the local nature reserve fund and are protected by law.
Which Lakes in Kyiv Have Received Special Status
The signs have been installed in the following protected areas:
- local landscape reserve “Lake Almazne”;
- local landscape reserve “Lake Tyahle”;
- local landscape reserve “Lake Zaplavne”;
- local landscape reserve “Lake Redkine”;
- local nature monument “Sources of the River Nivka”.
Rules for Staying in Protected Areas
The installed informational signs are placed to remind visitors of the special status of these water bodies and the necessity to comply with environmental protection legislation. The special status is defined by the Law of Ukraine “On the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine”.
