Detectives from the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security have completed the pre-trial investigation into the case concerning the alleged embezzlement of budget funds by a former official of the municipal enterprise ‘Kyivpastrans’.
Criminal Scheme for Tire Procurement
The investigation established that officials of the enterprise, in collusion with a representative of a commercial entity, organized the procurement of pneumatic tires for public transport at inflated prices. As a result of these actions, the territorial community of Kyiv suffered material losses amounting to 5 million hryvnias.
The Case Has Been Transferred to Court
At this time, the individual who held a position in ‘Kyivpastrans’ has been notified of suspicion. The indictment against this person has already been sent to court for further consideration.
It has been established that officials, in collusion with a representative of the firm, organized the procurement of pneumatic tires at inflated prices. The territorial community of the city suffered material damage of five million hryvnias.
