He contributed five million hryvnias, while other participants made payments ranging from 180 thousand to eight million hryvnias.

Details of the Bail Posting

Nearly 13.5 million hryvnias of the total amount was previously contributed by two individuals who are also connected to MP Bondarev. Thus, the necessary amount for the bail set by the court was raised in a short period.

Charges and Tymoshenko’s Reaction

On January 14, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, along with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, announced charges against Yulia Tymoshenko under part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She is accused of allegedly initiating negotiations with parliamentarians regarding the establishment of a mechanism for providing unlawful benefits for loyalty during votes.

Yulia Tymoshenko called the accusations against her a provocation and described the case materials as “forged.”

On January 16, the High Anti-Corruption Court set bail for Tymoshenko at over 33 million hryvnias and imposed a number of procedural obligations on her. The leader of Batkivshchyna stated that she would seek help from friends and colleagues to raise the necessary funds.
