In Ukraine, the acceptance of applications for a one-time financial aid of 6,500 Hryvnias for the most vulnerable categories of citizens under the ‘Winter Support’ program has begun.

Who Can Receive Assistance?
The following categories of citizens are eligible for the one-time payment:
- children under guardianship or care;
- children with disabilities;
- children raised in foster families and family-type children’s homes, including those with disabilities;
- persons with first-group disabilities among internally displaced persons (IDPs);
- children among IDPs who are already receiving housing payments;
- children from low-income families under 18 years old;
- single pensioners receiving a care allowance.
How to Apply and Receive the Payment?
You can apply for assistance in two ways:
- online — through the Diia portal or app;
- offline — at any service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
The payment will be made by the Pension Fund of Ukraine. Funds will be credited to a current account with a special usage regime (if such an account exists in the bank) or to a Diia Card.
“The money can be spent within 180 days from the moment of crediting exclusively on clothing and footwear, medications, and vitamins”.
The implementation of the ‘Winter Support’ program will help support those who have been most affected by the war or are in difficult life circumstances, as well as ensure the basic needs of vulnerable population groups during the winter period.
