U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg commented on the strikes by the Security Service of Ukraine on Russian military airfields, carried out as part of Operation “Web.” He expressed the view that such actions could significantly affect the situation on the front and potentially accelerate the achievement of a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia.

Impressive Results of Operation “Web”
On the night of June 1, Ukrainian drones attacked a number of Russian airfields deep in enemy territory. The attacks were carried out using drones that were concealed in modular houses set up on open truck platforms. According to the Security Service of Ukraine, during the large-scale operation, over 40 Russian military aircraft were destroyed. Kyiv emphasized that the preparation for the operation took about a year and a half.
Confirmation of Losses and International Reaction
Analysts, relying on video recordings and satellite images, established that at least eleven strategic bombers of Russia were destroyed during this operation. This independently confirmed the scale of the losses inflicted on the enemy.
“From my military experience and history, bold leadership and audacious actions can change the nature of the battlefield… This event could be a catalyst for peace, but both sides must remain committed to President Trump’s mission – to stop the killings and end the war,” Kellogg wrote on X.
Such strikes, according to Kellogg, have the potential to change the course of the war, but for peace to be achieved, it is important for all parties to remain committed to ceasing hostilities and resolving the conflict.
