During his visit to Kyiv, US Special Envoy Donald Trump’s Kitt Kellogg reported on the “very persistent” efforts of American officials aimed at ending the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

Active US Efforts on Security Guarantees
After participating in the National Prayer Breakfast in Kyiv, where politicians, business leaders, and diplomats gathered, Kellogg emphasized that discussions on possible security guarantees for Ukraine are ongoing. He noted the recent meetings between US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Alaska, as well as negotiations with European leaders at the White House. According to the special envoy, the talks are dynamic and show rapid progress.
“You can see how quickly the process we are working on is advancing, and it is moving very, very fast. We hope to reach a point where, in the near future, we will obtain, for lack of a better term, security guarantees. This is work that is still ongoing.”
Kellogg stressed the enormous losses Ukraine has suffered due to the ongoing war and emphasized the need to make every effort to put an end to it.
Working Meetings with Ukrainian Leadership
As part of his visit, Kitt Kellogg held a series of meetings with representatives of the Ukrainian government. In particular, he had a conversation with Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, during which they discussed defense priorities, cooperation in the defense industry, and the provision of reliable security guarantees for Ukraine.
Kellogg also met with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, with whom he discussed a possible system of security guarantees for the Ukrainian state. Additionally, the US envoy held talks with the head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov.
Kellogg’s visit to Kyiv coincided with the celebrations of Ukraine’s Independence Day, during which he participated in official ceremonies.
