In the evening, Kyiv was hit by a strong and brief downpour, which led to flooding on several city streets. The main cause is the insufficient number or malfunction of storm drains, which traditionally causes problems with water drainage after rainfall.
Residents are asked to report new flooding
The city administration has appealed to residents to promptly inform them about instances of flooding on roadways or sidewalks. To do this, they should call the dispatch service of “Kyivavtodor” at 044-284-74-19.
“If you notice areas of flooding on roadways or sidewalks in other locations, please contact the dispatch service of ‘Kyivavtodor’: 044-284-74-19,” the authorities advised residents at the building on Khreshchatyk, 36.
Hydraulic services are operating in enhanced mode
The city hall emphasized that specialists from the hydraulic services of “Kyivavtodor” are already working in an enhanced mode to eliminate the flooding caused by the intense downpour. Municipal services are making every effort to normalize the situation on city roads and sidewalks.
