Counterfeit Jewelry with PANDORA Logo

The customs declarations indicated that the packages contained 40 pairs of earrings valued at 30 US dollars each. However, during the inspection, customs officers discovered bracelets in silver and gold colors bearing the PANDORA logo. The first package contained 62 bracelets, while the second contained 40. Since this trademark is registered in the customs registry of intellectual property rights, the processing procedure was immediately suspended and the rights holder was notified.

Customs Materials and Actions

Experts confirmed that the seized bracelets are counterfeit products. The items are made of brass, an alloy of copper and zinc. The “silver” coating is a thin layer of silver, while the “gold” is a mixture of copper, nickel, zinc, and tin. Synthetic cubic zirconia was used as a decorative stone in the jewelry.

In both cases, Kyiv Customs drew up reports on violations of customs regulations. All 102 bracelets were confiscated.

The actions of the customs officers are aimed at protecting intellectual property rights and preventing the circulation of counterfeit products in the Ukrainian market.
