Housing restoration in Kyiv

Program “eRestoration” — the main tool for assistance

The decision to accelerate the work was announced by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachенко. According to him, all heads of district administrations received the relevant instructions after a meeting with Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Natalia Kozlovska. The main focus is on the prompt review of applications within the state program “eRestoration”, especially where inspections have already been conducted and documents are at various stages of readiness.

“I instructed the heads of district administrations to expedite the processing of applications under the ‘eRestoration’ program. This primarily concerns those locations where inspections have been completed and documents are at various stages of readiness. I set deadlines for completion — next week the district administrations will report on the status of the execution of the instructions,” Tkachенко wrote.

Open applications and shortage of specialists

The head of the KMVA emphasized that in the districts of the capital, where the destruction is particularly extensive, there are still many unprocessed applications from residents. Among the main reasons for the delay in resolving the issue, he cited the lack of qualified specialists for conducting inspections and processing requests. However, as the official stressed, this does not relieve the authorities of their responsibility to citizens who are awaiting assistance.

Tkachенко appealed to Kyiv residents to understand the situation, as the limited human resources do not allow for immediate resolution of all issues. Nevertheless, the city administration is doing everything possible to expedite the process of providing compensation and restoring housing.

All specialists on the ground are working within their capabilities. The authorities understand the importance of addressing these issues and are trying to accelerate the processes as much as possible to support affected residents.
