In Kyiv, a 29-year-old driver of the car owner’s vehicle has been detained on suspicion of setting fire to a Mercedes-Benz valued at over 6.7 million hryvnias. The incident occurred in a parking lot on John McCain Street, where the man set fire to a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS-580.

It has been established that the detainee worked as a driver for the family of the car’s owners. On the day of the arson, he doused the car with a flammable liquid and ignited it. The reasons that prompted him to take such actions have not been disclosed by the suspect, according to a statement from the Kyiv prosecutor’s office.
If his guilt is proven, the man could face a prison sentence ranging from three to ten years.
