Criminal scheme in the educational institution
Investigators established that over the past four years, the lyceum’s director and the chief accountant organized a scheme to misappropriate funds intended for the educational institution’s needs. The perpetrators systematically deducted significant amounts from the school’s general fund during the payroll calculations for educators.
According to the investigation, the director granted the chief accountant the authority to sign financial documents on her behalf. From 2022 until August 2025, the accountant transferred additional funds to herself each month, in addition to her official salary. The total amount of these “bonuses” reached approximately 7.9 million hryvnias.
Investigation details and legal status of the suspects
Law enforcement also found that in previous years, under the leadership of the former director, the chief accountant operated under a similar scheme. At that time, she transferred an additional 3.6 million hryvnias of budget funds to her bank account in the form of “bonuses”.
The perpetrators, over the past four years, deducted a portion of the budget funds from the school’s general fund during the payroll calculations for educators. As a result, millions of hryvnias, which were supposed to be spent on the needs of the educational institution located in the Desnyanskyi district, ended up in the pockets of the suspects.
Both suspects have been notified of their suspicion in the embezzlement of budget funds. The chief accountant, who is currently hiding outside Ukraine, has been notified of her suspicion in absentia.
