Nature of the Charges: Abuse of Official Position

Investigators have completed their inquiry and submitted an indictment to the court regarding the Kyiv council member. According to law enforcement, at the time of the offense, she was leading a charitable foundation that rented a municipal property covering 168 square meters in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital.

Mechanism of Illegal Embezzlement

According to the case materials, the organization had the right to purchase the rented property. To lower the cost of the asset for subsequent privatization, the suspect initiated so-called essential improvements—renovation works, the cost of which was significantly inflated. Based on these works, she managed to privatize the municipal property for a pittance and received 300,000 hryvnias in compensation from the Kyiv budget.
