Water Quality Monitoring at Kyiv Beaches
During the latest inspection, specialists analyzed the water quality at 14 official beaches in Kyiv. The results showed that most of them do not meet sanitary requirements, and therefore swimming at these locations is not recommended.
According to the published data, the list of beaches where swimming is not recommended includes:
- “Halyernyi” (Dnieper River);
- “Chortoryi” (Dnieper River);
- “Troieshchyna” (Desenka River);
- “Venice” (Dnieper River);
- “Children’s” (Dnieper River);
- “Youth” (Dnieper River);
- “Rainbow” (Rainbow Lake);
- “Telbin” (Telbin Lake);
- “Central” (Dnieper River);
- “Verbne” (Verbne Lake);
- “Pushcha-Vodytsia” (Hara Shchyha station).
Where to Swim Safely in Kyiv
At the same time, based on the analysis results, only three beaches in the capital have water that meets all sanitary standards and is safe for recreation. These locations are:
- “Veselka” (Dnieper River);
- “Zoloty” (Dnieper River);
- “Peredmistna Slobidka” (Dnieper River).
