Violations were detected during a tender for the construction of a bomb shelter for a gymnasium in the capital of Ukraine, which allowed for the prevention of a significant loss of budget funds.

Detection of Violations in the Shelter Construction Tender
Analysts from the Bureau of Economic Security conducted monitoring of public procurement and identified substantial violations in a tender that allocated over 300 million UAH for the creation of a dual-purpose protective structure for a gymnasium in Kyiv. An analysis of the tender documentation revealed several discrepancies related to the potential contractor of the procurement.
Law Enforcement Actions to Prevent Misappropriation
After detecting the violations, the analysts of the Bureau sent an official letter to the customer with recommendations outlining the existing risks. In response, the education department decided to reject the proposal from the suspicious participant and cancel the procurement procedure. This action prevented the misallocation of over 300 million UAH from the local budget.

Thanks to the swift response of law enforcement agencies, the risks of ineffective use of funds were eliminated, and the tender was canceled, ensuring the preservation of a significant portion of funding for the educational needs of the city of Kyiv.
