The prosecutor’s office annulled a corrupt decision by the Kyiv City Council through the court, which aimed to transfer a hectare of land for a kiosk.
This is reported by Kyiv24
This was reported by the head of the Public Council at the Kyiv City State Administration, Hennadiy Kryvosheya. According to him, this concerns a plot of land located at Heroes of Sevastopol Street, 23v.
Case Circumstances and Public Position
Hennadiy Kryvosheya emphasized that last year, during a meeting of the Kyiv City Council’s land commission, public activists provided a number of arguments against the adoption of this decision. The documents related to this plot indicated the presence of fictitious property.
“The documents for the plot feature fictitious property. The company to which this land is being allocated also shows signs of being fictitious: it has no income, and its only asset is a metal garage. Yet, the deputies from the relevant commission voted to transfer the hectare to the schemers.”
Court Review and Results
It became known that the prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit demanding that the Kyiv City Council’s decision be declared illegal. The court supported this position, recognizing the grounds for the land transfer as dubious. According to the documents, the company claiming the land had no real income or assets, apart from a metal garage. This indicates signs of fictitiousness and collusion for the illegal appropriation of community land.
Thus, the prosecutor’s office managed to protect the interests of Kyiv residents and prevent the loss of municipal land that could have been used for city development or other socially important projects.
