Three men aged 18, 19, and 28 have been charged with hooliganism after attacking a serviceman in Kyiv.

The incident occurred on Yuliya Zdanovska Street. According to preliminary information, a verbal conflict arose between a group of young people and a 38-year-old soldier who is undergoing rehabilitation in the capital. The argument escalated into a fight, during which the attackers knocked the soldier to the ground and struck him with their hands and feet.
Law enforcement quickly apprehended the suspects
After the attack, the assailants attempted to flee the scene. However, police officers promptly identified them and detained all three participants in the assault. They have now been charged with hooliganism.
What punishment do the attackers face
“The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of restriction of liberty for up to five years or imprisonment for up to four years,” the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office stated.
Investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident and the motives behind the attack. The investigation is ongoing.
