On Saturday, May 10, leading European leaders arrived in Kyiv: French President Emmanuel Macron, newly elected German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The visit took place as part of the “coalition of the willing” meeting—a group of European politicians expressing support for Ukraine and seeking to strengthen European solidarity.

At the train station, they were welcomed by the Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga.
“Today will be a busy day. Extremely important meetings. We welcome four European leaders, the leaders of the ‘coalition of the willing’ to Ukraine. Therefore, we expect important decisions, we expect further cementing of European solidarity and support for Ukraine,” Sybiga noted.
According to Andriy Yermak, the day promises to be filled with work and discussions on a number of important topics. He emphasized the need to end the war with a just peace and called for a ceasefire from Russia: “We need to end this war with a just peace. Moscow must be compelled to agree to a ceasefire.”
