Extent of Destruction in Kyiv Districts

The strike by Russian forces caused significant damage in various parts of the city, particularly affecting the Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts the most. According to preliminary reports, over 20 locations with destruction have been recorded in the Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Holosiivskyi, Obolonskyi, and Desnianskyi districts.

In the Darnytskyi district, an enemy shell destroyed part of a five-story residential building. Rescue services are currently conducting an operation to free people trapped under the rubble. Multi-story buildings of 9 and 16 floors, private constructions, a parking lot, and a kindergarten were also affected.

In the Dniprovskyi district, a 25-story residential building was damaged, and a drone hit a yard next to a nine-story building. Dozens of vehicles were destroyed and damaged.

In the Solomianskyi district, a fire broke out in a private residential house, while in the Shevchenkivskyi district, several non-residential buildings, offices, and residents’ vehicles were damaged.

In the Holosiivskyi district, fires were reported at several sites, over ten houses were left without windows, and transport was damaged.

In the Desnianskyi district, a non-residential area was affected, and there were also damages in the Obolonskyi district.

Rescue Operation and Traffic Restrictions in the Capital

Debris from downed enemy targets has been found in various parts of the city. Rescuers, police, and emergency services are working at the sites. In total, about 500 rescuers and 1,000 police officers are involved in eliminating the consequences of the shelling, with over 60 investigative teams documenting the destruction and taking statements from affected citizens.

Due to emergency rescue operations, traffic is temporarily restricted on several major highways, including on the Kharkiv Highway (from the intersection with Zdolbunivska Street to Mykhailo Kravchuk Street), Boryspilska Street (from Veresneva to Yaltinska), Zhilyanska Street (from Volodymyrska to Antonovicha), and Hlybochytskyi Passage (from Sichovykh Striltsiv to Hlybochytska).

“Unfortunately, the Russian approach is typical from attack to attack. Combined strikes from different directions. And systematically – targeting ordinary residential buildings. Last night, it included decoys, ‘gerbils’, ‘shakheds’, ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, ‘darts’,” wrote the head of the Kyiv Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, on social media.

The head of the capital’s military administration also noted that as a result of the attack, the number of damaged objects in Kyiv could reach hundreds, and broken windows could number in the thousands.
