70 Trees Honor the Memory of Media Workers
The park is located on Zapadynska Street. Here, 70 trees have been planted: 30 Amanogawa cherry trees and 40 Nedzvetsky apple trees. The choice of these trees holds symbolic significance, as they will not only beautify the public space but also serve as a living reminder of the courage and self-sacrifice of Ukrainian media representatives.
“In the park on Zapadynska Street in the Podil district of the capital, with the support of the TERWIN corporation, 70 trees have been planted in honor of Ukrainian media workers who died as a result of the full-scale invasion,” the statement reads.
The Memory of Media Workers Will Become Part of the Urban Space
The city administration emphasizes that the new park will be an open space for residents and visitors of the capital. Here, everyone will be able to remember those who informed society at the cost of their own lives during the war.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion by Russia, over 100 Ukrainian media workers have died, including journalists, editors, operators, reporters, and photographers. The establishment of the park is an important step in preserving the memory of the heroes of the information front.
