A new memorial sign dedicated to the warriors of the territorial defense has been unveiled in the Alley of Defenders of Ukraine in the capital.

A new memorial sign honoring the servicemen of the territorial defense forces has been installed in the Alley of Defenders of Ukraine, initiated by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in collaboration with the “Cultural Forces” platform. The solemn ceremony took place on October 5, in celebration of the Day of the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The distinctive feature of the memorial sign is its symbolism: it depicts a line of defense made up of the logos of the Territorial Defense Forces — shields with the letter “T,” which, when inverted, resemble the outlines of houses. This design emphasizes that every home can become a stronghold of defense, and the territorial defense forces are always ready to resist in the face of threats.
“These shields symbolize that every house can transform into a shield of defense when needed, and the units of the Territorial Defense Forces are always prepared to resist,” the press service explained.
Solemn Opening and Attendees at the Ceremony
The memorial sign was ceremonially unveiled in the presence of representatives from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the command of the Territorial Defense Forces, and the Kyiv City Military Administration. The event was a significant occasion for the military and for the entire capital, as it highlighted the contribution of the territorial defense warriors to the protection of the country and its residents.
